What to Expect Tennessee

SAHMA is pleased to present the 2025 SAHMA Affordable Housing Conference: Tennessee! Check out the information below to prepare for your time at the SAHMA Tennessee Conference.

Hotel Information
Embassy Suites Murfreesboro | 1200 Conference Ctr Blvd, Murfreesboro, TN 37129 
Check-In: 4:00 pm
Check-Out: 11:00 am
Smoking allowed in designated outdoor smoking areas

The conference will be held on the first floor of the Embassy Suites Murfreesboro. Restrooms can be found between to the left of the Broadlands room and to the left of the Oakleigh room. Elevators can be found in the hotel lobby.
             
Parking
Self-parking is $4 for attendees in the SAHMA room block (subject to change).
The self parking facility includes EV-charging stations and accessible parking spaces, as well as van-accessible parking in the self-parking facility. The parking system uses QR codes for easy access and payment. Attendees will scan a SAHMA specific QR code (found at registration) to receive the discounted rate. 


Local Public Transportation
The Embassy Suites Murfreesboro has its own stop along the Mall District route of the Murfreesboro Transit service. The Murfreesboro Transit service provides access to major Murfreesboro attractions for $1 fare for adults. Buses operate from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm on weekdays. Payment can be made through the Murfreesboro transit app available on their website. Every Murfreesboro Transit bus has a bike rack and is wheelchair accessible. Attire for Events
The temperature in conference facilities and training rooms is difficult to control. Please dress accordingly. Take a look at last year’s Facebook album to get an idea of what many attendees will wear to this event. 

Conference Attire: Business Casual is suggested

Pack your bags: You can expect May temperatures in Murfreesboro to range between the average high of 79°F and the average low of 58°F. Please keep in mind that these are average temperatures. Once the 10-day forecast is available, we will update with more accurate information.

Tuesday: Low of 72°F / High of 86°F Partly cloudy with 24% chance of rain showers
Wednesday: Low of 63°F / High of 81°F AM thunderstorms with 60% chance of rain showers
Thursday: Low of 59°F / High of 74°F Partly cloudy with 24% chance of rain showers

Going Paperless - Check out the SAHMA App
This is a paperless event, and onsite programs will not be available at the conference. A link to a printable agenda and conference handouts will be provided in the event Know Before You Go email sent prior to the event. All event information, including the agenda, sponsors, exhibitors, handouts, and more, can also be accessed in the official conference app.


Food & Dining 
We ensure that SAHMA events offer vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free food options. Buffets will have menu labels and items clearly indicating ingredients and/or accommodations. If you have questions regarding specific dietary restrictions, please contact the SAHMA Office.
