SAHMA is pleased to present the 2025 SAHMA Affordable Housing Conference: Florida! Check out the information below to prepare for your time at the SAHMA Florida Conference.

Hotel Information

The conference will be held on the second and third floors of the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville-Riverfront. On the second floor, restrooms can be found on either side of the sky bridge entrance, and elevators can be found on the left side of the sky bridge entrance. On the third floor, restrooms can be found on either side of the escalators, and elevators can be found to the left of the sky bridge entrance. 

             
Parking
Discounted Self-parking rate of $20 per vehicle, per night for attendees staying overnight in the SAHMA room block (subject to change). Van accessible self-parking is available. The hotel parking does not offer any electric vehicle charging stations.


Local Public Transportation
The Jacksonville Transportation Authority offers both a bus system and an elevated monorail system with stops less than a 15 minute walk from the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville-Riverfront. The Central Station of the Skyway monorail is conveniently located to the northwest of the hotel on Bay street, and the Bay St. & Newnan St., Bay St. & Market St., and Bay St. and Liberty St. bus stops are less than a block from the hotel. Regular fare for JTA buses is $1.75 for single rides, and 1, 3, 7, or 31 day passes are available for purchase in the MyJTA App. Payment can be made in cash, through a preloaded STAR card available from Ticket Vending Machines located throughout Jacksonville, or using the MyJTA App. The Skyway is a complimentary service with no charge. Both the JTA bus system and the Skyway provide access to the North and South sides of the St. Johns River. Bus systems typically operate from 4:30 am to midnight depending on the route with more specifics available on the JTA website, and the Skyway operates from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm. All JTA vehicles are equipped with ramps or wheelchair lifts to assist our passengers upon request, and service animals are welcome on all JTA vehicles. Skyway platforms have elevator access, Skyway trains are level with the platform for easy boarding, and train arrival announcements are delivered in visual and audible format.

Airport Shuttle
Echo East Coast Transportation operates a private car service and airport shuttle service between the Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) and Hyatt Regency Riverfront. Reservations are required 24 hours in advance. Airport shuttle service is available every day and departs the Hyatt Regency at 6:00 a.m., 7:00 a.m., 8:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Shuttles depart from the airport (JAX) at 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Reservations are required 24 hours in advance. Attire for Events
Business Casual is suggested. The temperature in conference facilities and training rooms is difficult to control.  Please dress accordingly. Take a look at last year’s Facebook album to get an idea of what many attendees will wear to this event.

Pack your bags: You can expect April temperatures in Jacksonville to range between the average high of 79°F and the average low of 59°F. Please keep in mind that these are average temperatures.Once the 10-day forecast is available, we will update with more accurate information.

Going Paperless - Check out the SAHMA App
This is a paperless event, and onsite programs will not be available at the conference. A link to a printable agenda and conference handouts will be provided in the event Know Before You Go email sent prior to the event. All event information, including the agenda, sponsors, exhibitors, handouts, and more, can also be accessed in the official conference app.


Food & Dining 
We ensure that SAHMA events offer vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free food options. Buffets will have menu labels and items clearly indicating ingredients and/or accommodations. If you have questions regarding specific dietary restrictions, please contact the SAHMA Office.
