Training is an integral part of staying in compliance when managing/owning ANY type of multifamily affordable housing community. The HUD 4381.5 Rev-2 Management Agent Handbook reminds us that training and related expenses are a project allowable expense. In addition, all of SAHMA’s PBCA, State Housing, Rural Development and Public Housing partners always support and participate in the SAHMA State Meetings for Affordable Housing and all have reiterated the following time and time again: “There is a wealth of information available to all participants, from the latest on new regulations to industry best practices. Meeting/Conference attendees experience great opportunities to find solutions to some every day challenges and interaction with peers and partners is invaluable.” Please remember that ongoing training and development is often tied to property performance and SAHMA is considered an excellent resource in providing quality education and training at an affordable price.
