SAHMA Affordable Housing Conference: South Carolina Session Descriptions:
ProActive Response Group will lead the discussion that educates participants in current trends of active shooter incidents, recognizing early warning signs of violence, appropriate actions to increase chances of survival in an active shooter event, and introduction to basic medical equipment to save the lives of victims.
Active Shooter: Hands On
ProActive Response Group will provide hands-on instructions of information gained in the group discussion. Due to the hands-on nature if this session, space is limited in each of the 2 sessions. Session selection required. Instruction will include:
- Securing your environment
- Practical personal defense
- Medical instruction
- Practical application of tourniquet
- Wound trainer exercise to learn wound packing
