Occupancy Specialist

MRHA VIII is Mississippi's largest housing authority, providing services to over 10,000 households throughout the lower 14 counties. Our agency is seeking an experienced occupancy specialist to manage a portfolio of various tenant-based vouchers in the Assisted Housing Department. The position is based in our Gulfport corporate office on Mississippi's beautiful Gulf Coast. We offer state Pension participation in the MS PERS system, excellent Medical, Vision, and Dental insurance, a compressed work schedule that affords 26 Fridays off per year, and 13 observed holidays. Our work schedule strikes a work/life balance that is not often experienced in Affordable Housing. We have also made numerous technology strides post-covid including migration to the Yardi Voyager software platform, implementation of Kronos UKG Personnel Software, and deployment of touchscreen kiosks to elevate customer service.
 

Occupancy Specialist Certification or ability to secure one within 6 months.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Excellent organizational and communication skills are required to be successful.
Must be emotionally mature, dependable, and capable of working on a diverse team of professionals.
