HVAC - Troubleshooting & Industry Changes (9:00 am - 10:30 am)
This session will provide a basic overview of HVAC systems, and their components. We will go over basics, how systems operate, the most common types of refrigerant, HVAC basic troubleshooting, and industry changes relevant to the multi-family industry.
Fair Housing and Maintenance (10:45 am - Noon)
The maintenance team can typically have the most interaction with residents at apartment communities, especially providing repair services in the apartment homes. This creates a potentially huge opportunity for fair housing liability and a vital need for compliance training. This interactive session offers a basic understanding of fair housing and effective compliance strategies essential to the maintenance professional.
Preventative Maintenance Plans (1:00 pm - 2:15 pm)
In this session, we will briefly go over how to create and implement a successful PM program for a property. We will focus on times of the year for different aspects of a PM program, and ways to implement them into an already existing routine. The goal of the session is to help maintenance sustain a successful preventative maintenance program, with existing staff, and to stay within a PM budget.
Positive Attitude for Maintenance (2:30 pm - 4:00 pm)
Attitude is the way that we dedicate ourselves to the way that we think. However, this is true on the positive AND negative side. More than likely, 99% of us have never taken a formal course in positive attitude, yet, it sets the foundation for how well we do in all aspects of our lives. This presentation will help you understand the importance of having a positive attitude and how to achieve and maintain one.
