Description:
Nearly 95% of the U.S. population utilizes smartphones, so it’s no surprise one of the most requested apartment amenities is the ability to complete the application and certification processes online.  Learn from a subject matter expert about the challenges considered unique to the affordable housing market and the impact adoption of online applications and verifications has had on compliance audit findings, days vacant, and late recertifications.  Pick up tools and possible solutions, such as low cost/no cost and understand critical features requested to make these platforms accessible and increase adoption to reimagine how affordable housing compliance is performed onsite.

Learning Objectives:
  • Identify perceived barriers to taking the affordable application process online.
  • Examine the compliance and operational performance of sites that have adopted online applications and verifications.
  • Explore possible technology solutions that are feasible for the unique challenges within the affordable arena.
  • Understand ways regulatory agencies can help to increase adoption of technology platforms for the affordable online application process from a customer and management perspective, weighing benefits and pitfalls.
