With HUD no longer granting the funds necessary to build new affordable housing for our aging population, it is more important than ever that owners understand how best to preserve and improve the HUD-funded housing they have, which has to do with funding your capital repairs. The webinar will educate on the typical preservation strategies for aging HUD-financed affordable housing properties.
Those with affordable housing, including those with Section 8 and HUD 202 Direct Loans and PRACS, will want to attend to learn the latest tools HUD has created to help them meet their goals for preservation. The webinar will go into some detail on the most frequently used approaches for analyzing the needs of a property, and determining the best methods for addressing those needs. This will include understanding how to maximize Net Operating Income (NOI). We will review typical refinancing methods, including Debt-for-Debt (FHA Financing), 4% Tax Exempt Bonds with Low Income Housing Tax Credits, and 9% Low Income Housing Tax Credits.
