Sweeping changes are in progress for affordable housing management, thanks to the rapidly approaching implementation deadline of the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act of 2016 (HOTMA). Although the firm deadline to fully adhere to the new rules is January 1, 2025, you will want to be sure you are fully prepared to implement forthcoming changes as they relate to LIHTC. In this workshop, we will discuss actionable steps to implement HOTMA in the LIHTC arena. We will also provide a summary update of what HOTMA policies have been released for the HFAs in the SAHMA Region.
