Description
Givens Affordable Communities is looking for a Director of Property Management to join our team in order to oversee the day-to-day operations for Givens' affordable and middle-income projects and any managed projects. This position has considerable latitude in the exercise of independent judgment and accountability for comprehensive oversight of assigned multifamily properties and team members. Reporting to the VP of Affordable Communities, the Director of Property Management will oversee or perform all of the work necessary to protect assets and ensure properties are well operated and maintained. 

What you'll do:
Provide supervision and support for Community Managers
Hold regular staff meetings with team members and seek solutions for any needs or concerns
Collaborate with Affordable Communities VP and Project Development staff to develop pre-leasing and operations for new communities
Create and submit property reports to Affordable Communities VP as needed
Oversee maintenance of properties to assure successful compliance with regulatory requirements (HUD, LITHC or others)
Lead preparation of annual budget
Assist Community Managers with communication and conflict resolution of resident concerns/complaints in a professional manner
Collaborate with staff to create and update operation policies
Cross-train and cover co-worker side work and duties as needed
Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or extensive experience in affordable housing 
Fair Housing and Section 504/ADA certification desired, or willing to obtain once hired
Minimum 5 years previous experience in property management, commercial real estate, or related field 
Experience with property management software such as Yardi Voyager. OnSite, Boston Post, etc. 
Knowledge of property management functions
Capability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks/responsibilities and work under pressure
