Description
South Mississippi Housing Authority (Region 8) is seeking an experienced professional to join its senior leadership team as the Director of Human Resources. Our agency is the largest housing authority in the State of Mississippi serving approximately 10,000 households through varying assistance programs. The position is based in our Gulfport, MS corporate office conveniently located just off of I-10. We own and operate 24 affordable housing communities spread across our 14 County service area and have additional district offices in both Hattiesburg and Moss Point. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated history of impeccable service delivery in a similar role and preferably in a similar agency or organization including benefits plan administration, personnel management, training coordination, and US DOL/MDES compliance. Candidates with successful experience in change management are strongly encouraged to apply.
The position is an Exempt, Full-Time position based in our Gulfport corporate office but local travel is expected to successfully direct the personnel and HR functions of the agency. Requirements
Bachelor of Arts and 10 years of progressing experience in the field of Human Resources. Experience in benefit plan administration is also required.
