September 13, 2021

Multifamily Housing Partners,

Multifamily Housing (MFH) is presently tracking Tropical Storm (TS) Nicholas.  The National Hurricane Center reports TS NICHOLAS is strengthening and expected to make landfall in southern TX tonight.  The Governor of LA declared a State of Emergency on September 12, 2021.
In preparation for possible storm damage, we ask that management companies with properties located in the storm's path review emergency procedures and make necessary plans.
Please ensure that you have  emergency contact information for all tenants, and that you notify all tenants of your emergency property contact.
As soon as the storm passes, please send any property damage reports, along with food and water needs, to MFHFODSouth@usda.gov, or contact Byron Waters, MFH Southern Regional Director at Byron.waters@usda.gov or 919-632-4593.
