NAHMA Shares Rental Assistance Resources Portal and Toolkit
The National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) is assisting in distributing an online resources portal developed by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) to help renters and landlords find emergency rental assistance programs in their local areas. The portal is available at www.consumerfinance.gov/Additionally, a toolkit for stakeholders that includes information on raising awareness about the rental assistance resources available to tenants and landlords has been posted on NAHMA's Coronavirus Information and Resources webpage, under Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), at www.nahma.org. The toolkit includes examples of key messages, sample social content, fliers, and other resources that may help promote the new tool and resources available for renters and landlords.
With the eviction moratorium set to expire this Saturday, July 31, the Biden administration has stated, “It will continue putting out a call to action to government agencies, companies, advocates, nonprofits, the faith community, and more to inform them of the new CFPB tool and make sure that renters and landlords are able to access the available rental assistance.”
These resources will continue to be available to renters and landlords beyond the expiration of the eviction moratorium.
