This week, NAHMA published a NAHMAnalysis, COVID-19 and the State of Affordable Housing. It's becoming evident that over the past year, COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on both low income renters and owners/managers through business closures and partial shutdowns, hampering their ability to make rent and mortgage payments.
COVID-19 and the State of Affordable Housing
This week, NAHMA published a NAHMAnalysis, COVID-19 and the State of Affordable Housing. It's becoming evident that over the past year, COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on both low income renters and owners/managers through business closures and partial shutdowns, hampering their ability to make rent and mortgage payments. Many tenants, landlords and property managers have all experienced some form of financial distress and pressure, creating a sense of uncertainty for the future of affordable housing.
