CNA e-Tool Release Delayed Until Nov. 9
HUD has delayed the implementation of the Capitol Needs Assessment (CNA) e-Tool, version 3.0. Over the weekend, the CNA e-Tool team executed the legacy CNA data conversion and deployed the new e-Tool application to go live on Tuesday, 10/13/2020, 8 AM. However, on Monday during the final confirmation testing, the team observed a few instances where the application's performance was less than expected. After investigating, the team decided that it would be best to implement identified fixes to ensure the best user experience before the new e-Tool goes live and hundreds of users rely on the application to conduct hundreds of CNAs each year. Implementing the fixes requires an additional code release process and re-scheduling of the launch date. The new launch date is November 9th. HUD will continue to accept validations in the current legacy Lender Submission Portal for Data Transfer until November 6, 2020. The current legacy CNA e-Tool (v2.4) system is back online as of 8 AM 10/13/20 and you may continue to use the Public Validation Portal and Lender Submission Portal as usual.
HUD apologizes for any inconvenience this change may have caused and thanks you for your patience as the e-Tool team takes extra measures to ensure a reliable application for all users.
