Nearly 12 million Americans risk missing out on the stimulus payments provided through the recent CARES Act because they don't file federal taxes or receive certain federal benefits. In order to receive the stimulus payment they must file a form by October 15, 2020 in order to receive it this year, or file a 2020 tax return next year to receive it in 2021. Please join the Office of Public and Indian Housing for a webinar on how you can ensure your tenants don't miss out on this important stimulus payment. The CARES Act, signed into law on March 27, includes stimulus payments to help families deal with the economic impacts from the COVID-19 crisis. The payments are designed to be significant — $1,200 per adult ($2,400 for a married couple) and $500 per dependent child.
