NAHMA HUD Update: HUD Issues PIH Notices Providing COVID19 Guidance for PHAs

Two recently published notices from HUD's Office of Public and Indian Housing, titled Eviction Moratorium COVID-19 FAQs for Public Housing Agencies, and an updated COVID-19 FAQs for Public Housing Agencies.

Please find below, two recently published notices from HUD's Office of Public and Indian Housing, titled Eviction Moratorium COVID-19 FAQs for Public Housing Agencies, and an updated COVID-19 FAQs for Public Housing Agencies.
 
  1. The Notice for Eviction Moratorium COVID-19 FAQs for Public Housing Agencies provides specific guidance on Section 4024 of the CARES Act. Section 4024 of the CARES Act imposes a temporary moratorium on evictions, as well as a moratorium on fees and penalties related to nonpayment of rent.   1. The Notice for COVID-19 FAQs for Public Housing Agencies contains several guidance updates to questions on Emergency Preparedness, Foreclosure Moratorium, Operational Concerns, Resident Health, Eligible Use of Funds and Grant Administration.  The Notice for COVID-19 FAQs can be found HERE.
