New RAD Training - Post Closing Processing 

This training video is designed to guide owners of public housing and Section 202 Project Rental Assistance Contract (PRAC) projects through common issues that arise after a Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) conversion has closed. It answers key questions such as:

• Who is my main point of contact at HUD after closing?
• Where do I go for help with post-closing issues?
• What types of challenges might I face after conversion?

The video explains how to submit post-closing requests through the RAD Resource Desk and highlights the role of HUD's Multifamily Office of Recapitalization in supporting owners. It also walks through specific scenarios—such as how to request the release of a RAD-related restrictive covenant when assistance has been transferred to a new site, or how to request an extension if repairs or rehabilitation outlined in your RAD Conversion Commitment (Exhibit D) or RAD for PRAC Conversion Agreement (Exhibit B) cannot be completed by the original deadline. You'll learn how and when to work with your RAD Post-Closer, your key HUD contact, for addressing post-closing matters efficiently and effectively.
