HUD published a 30-Day Notification Requirement Prior to Termination of Lease for Nonpayment of Rent in the Federal Register.
Today, the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development published a 30-Day Notification Requirement Prior to Termination of Lease for Nonpayment of Rent in the Federal Register. This final rule requires that public housing agencies and owners of properties receiving project-based rental assistance must provide written notification to tenants facing eviction for nonpayment of rent 30 days prior to filing formal judicial eviction procedure. The final rule becomes effective 30 days after publication.
