DOE Releases New Informational Videos for Funding Opportunity for Community Healthcare Facilities and Multi-Family Housing in Puerto Rico
The U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Grid Deployment Office published informational videos about the Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) for the new Programa de Comunidades Resilientes. The videos—available in English and Spanish—provide an overview of the FOA and instructions on how to apply. DOE encourages prospective applicants to take advantage of this resource to ensure proposals align with the FOA's application criteria.
On August 28, 2024, DOE released a FOA for up to $325 million for the Programa de Comunidades Resilientes to improve community-level energy resilience for vulnerable and disadvantaged populations across Puerto Rico. Funded by the Puerto Rico Energy Resilience Fund, the program seeks to fund solar and battery storage installations across two types of vital infrastructure: community healthcare facilities, as well as community centers and other common areas in public housing and privately owned subsidized multi-family properties.
The application deadline for this FOA is October 22, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. EST. For more details, visit the Programa de Comunidades Resilientes webpage
