Service Coordinator NOFO Application Deadline Extension

The deadline for the Service Coordinator Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), announced on December 15, 2023, was extended. The new application deadline is May 23, 2024, at 11:59pm EST.

 

The funding amount available is $40 million dollars and will be used to fund 3-year grants for both first-time applicants and those that are looking to expand their current service coordination programs. CHUSA Application Deadline Extended to April 12, 2024!

Applications to join HUD's signature digital inclusion program are due on April 12, 2024.

 

Who Is This Program for:

  • Communities that are interested in learning how to narrow the digital divide for HUD-assisted residents (Tier 1); and
  • Existing (or prior) CHUSA communities that wish to deepen their work (Tier 2). 

Eligible Applicants: PHAs; Tribes; Multifamily owners/operators; Continuum of Care and HOPWA grantees.

Benefits of Joining:  If you become a CHUSA community you'll have access to:

  • A nationwide community of practice composed of similar organizations working towards narrowing the digital divide for HUD-assisted residents;
  • A recognized “brand” with HUD backing; 
  • Technical assistance tailored to your needs; 
  • An annual CHUSA Summit where you'll have the chance to hear from digital inclusion experts and interact with other CHUSA communities; 
  • HUD staff support
  • Access to CHUSA stakeholders' (private sector organizations) support, as well as support from HUD's nonprofit partner, EducationSuperHighway; and 
  • Digital Badges to reward milestones achieved.

How Difficult Is the Application?

Applying is easy!  There are no application or budget forms, just a Letter of Intent that meets the criteria for the Tier you're applying to: 

  • Tier 1 is reserved for communities new to digital inclusion;
  • Tier 2 is reserved for existing (or former) CHUSA communities. 

 

And, we've included easy-to-follow instructions (see link below).
