NSPIRE HCV Demonstration Extension

Participants in the NSPIRE Demonstration for the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program are advised that HUD intends to extend the demonstration past the current end date of October 1, 2022.

NAHMA HUD Update: HUD Issues Notice of Term Increase for Standard Section 202 PRAC Renewals

HUD has recently issued a Notice (attached) that updates the contract renewal procedures and standard renewal contract language for PRACs under the Section 202 Program and Section 811. The Notice also establishes a process to move all Section 202 PRAC properties into contracts with a 5-year term (phased in over the next three years).

Green and Resilient Retrofit Program (GRRP) Request for Information

As part of the Inflation Reduction Act, HUD's Office of Multifamily Housing received $1 billion in funding for a new Green and Resilient Retrofit Program (GRRP). When implemented, the GRRP may include multiple rounds of funding availability to support energy and water efficiency retrofits and climate resilience of HUD-assisted multifamily properties.

The Office of Multifamily Housing published its Section 202 Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for Fiscal Year 2022. The NOFO provides up to $174.6 million in grant funding opportunities through the Section 202 program. Members should note that the applications are due by January 25, 2023.

NAHMA LIHTC Update: Rates for October 2022

Today, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) issued Revenue Ruling 2022-18, which provides various prescribed rates for federal income tax purposes, including applicable federal interest rates, adjusted applicable federal interest rates, and adjusted long-term and tax-exempt rates for October 2022.
