NAHMA HUD Update: Redline of Proposed Revisions to Chapter 9 of the Section 8 Renewal Policy Guidebook

The redline shows the original text and the proposed revisions, which are intended to provide greater clarity in the renewal process and address issues not covered in the current chapter on which MFH has received questions. Please see the memorandums from Deputy Assistant Secretary Ethan Handelman explaining the policy changes and a response worksheet to submit feedback.

NAHMA LIHTC Update: Public Comment Request on 2022-2023 Priority Guidance Plan Recommendations

FY 2022 HUD Income Limits

HUD released the Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 estimated Median Family Incomes (MFIs) and the FY 2022 Income Limits. MFIs are used as the basis for income limits in several HUD programs, including the Public Housing, Section 8 project-based, Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher, Section 202 housing for the elderly, and Section 811 housing for persons with disabilities programs. HUD also released the FY 2022 Multifamily Tax Subsidy Project (MTSP) Income Limits, which are used to determine eligibility for low-income housing tax credits and tax-exempt bond properties.
