NAHMA HUD Update: HUD and FHFA Announce Collaborative Agreement to Advance Fair Housing and Fair Lending Enforcement

HUD Secretary Marcia Fudge and FHFA Acting Director Saundra Thompson recently announced a collaborative agreement to focus on enhancing enforcement of the Fair Housing Act, which HUD is primarily charged with administering and enforcing, and oversight of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and the Federal Home Loan Banks, all which FHFA regulates.

NAHMA HUD Update: HUD Publishes Fiscal Year 2022 Fair Market Rents; Announces $30 Million in Grants for Low-Income Elderly Home Modifications

HUD published the fiscal year 2022 Fair Market Rents (FMRs). Section 8(c)(1) of the United States Housing Act of 1937 requires the Secretary of HUD to publish Fair Market Rents (FMRs) periodically, but not less than annually, to be effective on October 1 of each year.
