NAHMA LIHTC Update: IRS Publishes Final Compliance Monitoring Rule for LIHTC; Changes to Sample Size and Notification Timeframe

Yesterday, the IRS published final regulations that amend LIHTC compliance monitoring regulations.  As stated in the summary below, these final regulations revise and clarify the requirement to conduct physical inspections and review low-income certifications and other documentation.

Notice of Funding Availability for Set-Aside Tenant-Protection Vouchers for Fiscal Year 2018

The Office of Multifamily Housing and the Office of Public and Indian Housing published a joint Tenant Protection Voucher (TPV) Set-Aside Notice on February 15, 2019. The Notice explains the eligibility and application requirements for $5 million of TPV set-aside funding as well as how applications will be processed.  

HUD Announces REAC Listening Sessions - HUD Region IV

HUD to Drastically Cut Notice for Inspections of Public Housing And Privately Owned Apartment Buildings

February 20, 2019 - Today, HUD released a new Notice that announced a drastic cut to the advance notice provided to public housing authorities and private owners of HUD-subsidized apartment developments prior to REAC inspections.
