RAM CERTIFICATION

The RAM Program is a HUD-approved professional certification program that sets competency standards for managers of affordable and commercial properties. Instead of classes, certification is available through a home study course.

Topics covered include: * History of Multifamily Housing * Management Principals * Personnel and Marketing * Applications and Move-Outs * Occupancy and File and Rents * Office and Financial Management * Maintenance and Security * Federally-Assisted Housing * Local Multifamily Needs

HOW DOES THE COURSE WORK?

Order the books and materials from SAHMA, study at home at your convenience, then attend a one-day review course which includes a half-day certification exam.

HOW DO I BECOME RAM CERTIFIED?

To receive RAM certification, you must have two years experience in multifamily housing management. RAM certification or its equivalent is a requirement for completion of NAHMA's NAHP certification.
